Your wedding day timeline

Every single wedding I offer my assistance to help my couples plan their wedding day to get the best out of their photographic experience with me. Im not one to show up at 10am because you have booked a 10 hour package. I want you to only have me around when you need it! Below is an example timeline based on the majority of weddings. As part of my service to you, I will help you tailor make your day so it reflects everything you want, the special things you have organised so you can relax and enjoy the day. More importantly, you’ll be able to rest assured knowing that I’ll be there documenting it as it unfolds.

A stress free day starts with a great timeline (& a great bridal party!)

To help get you started, here is an example of a classic 8 hour wedding day photographic coverage so you can plan how many hours you may wish to have me there to capture all the details that matter to you.

Photography package commences

1pm

Grooms preparations

2pm

Brides preparations - I always go to the bride after the boys. I need to be with the girls last to get those shots of getting into the dress!

3:30pm Ceremony

You'll notice there is 1.5 hrs in between bridal prep & ceremony. . This is so there is time for me to get to the ceremony location to set the cameras up before the bride arrives and to also capture your guests as they arrive.

4:30pm Cocktail Hour

Ceremony is over! Time for a drink and to relax and have fun with your guests as well as some family & group shots along with a few bridal party snaps.

5:30pm Wedding photos

Have some fun with your bridal party and also take some moments together. These will be your best couple images from the day due to the softness of the afternoon light. Winter weddings, I do your sunset photos now!

6pm Reception Commences

Guests will be seated ready for your entrance around 6:15pm. You've worked up an appetite because you've hardly eaten all day due to nerves. Time to eat!

6:30pm-9pm Dinner + Formalities

Summer weddings, we will sneak out for 10 mins at sunset. Just 10 mins, and totally worth it! Just make sure no speeches are happening at sunset time!

9pm Photographic Coverage Concludes

Enjoy the rest of your night!

I'll go home and start your preview photos!

Of course, there are alwyas exceptions to the above. But don’t stress over it alone! I’m here to help guide you through the process to make sure you have everything you need.
